A quiet, calm stroll through the valley in Zion led to this stunning moment of the sun illuminating the mesas as it began to set. The golden hour truly was in this instand. The colors of gold, tan, green lit by the sun were so striking compare to the dark maroons on the other side of the valley. I hope this image evokes a sense of wonder and love for the beauty of nature around us.
Jody Holman grew up in beautiful Colorado with a camera as a permanent fixture in her hand. She has traveled to over 20 countries, shooting weddings, portraits and travel editorials. She has a penchant for natural light and an eye for detail and storytelling. And while she loves exploring new places to travel, she finds some of her favorite scenes to shoot are in her own home of Northern California where she lives with her kids, dog, and her chronic love of wine and good food.
