Abundance

Piece description from the artist

Inspiration begins with the antique coffee pot that was my sister's. It comes from a china serving piece collection of family heirlooms she received from her mother-in-law. The piece is steeped in Southern family sophistication, charm and legacy. Her wedding was iconic among the genteel Southern society she married into… a stark contrast from her humble beginnings of a rural farming girl. In telling the story of my beautiful sister's uncommon rise into society, I placed strikingly lovely lilies to represent her, a young understated beauty, to compliment the heirloom pot.
