Piece description from the artist
After the Tide is a piece from my Black and White Beach Series. This piece reflects the gray sand and a tide pool in the sand between the reeds. A beach scene telling natures story without the use of traditional beach colors. Minimal in color was my plan, letting the viewer use their imagination of color.
Karen is an artist for over 35 years. Prior to painting full-time – the artist worked in many creative fields in the design world. Living on the beach in CT, her work is influenced by the changing atmosphere and nature. She studied impressionism for 8 years. Her work is collected internationally and has been represented by many galleries throughout her career.
