The painting depicts an angel sitting on a throne. His large wings are spread and his gaze is calm and focused. In one hand he holds a trumpet, symbolising a divine proclamation or call, and in the other an olive branch, which symbolises the hope of peace and tranquillity. The angel is clothed in light-coloured robes, shimmering with golden and pink hues, which emphasises his heavenly origin. The background of the painting is a rich violet colour, decorated with shining stars, creating a sense of infinite space. Oil, canvas. Signed, varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
