Piece description from the artist
This image reverses the feelings of awe and appreciation of beauty by recognizing in the title that PM2.5 is an air pollution hazard.
Peter Seidler is a visual artist who lives and works in Thailand. Seidler makes computer-generated or modified, non-narrative conceptual digital images that convey the continuous arising of the unexpected, and poetry of the periphery. The rendered digital images are informed by Seidler's experience as a painter and sculptor and exist somewhere between photography, information, and painting. They are part of an ongoing project titled "Different This Time". He received his MFA in conceptual art from CalArts and did post-graduate work at the Whitney ISP Program. Seidler has exhibited in solo and group shows in Manhattan, Los Angeles, Berlin, and elsewhere. His work is represented in numerous significant collections.
