Piece description from the artist
Architectural modern abstract digital art with an urban theme.
This series continues the exploration of cells. Cells are the basic building blocks of living things. Cells are the basic structures of all living organisms and extends into our human-built "cells" – our rooms, our offices, cubicles, buildings – stacked and arranged to create our living spaces.
For this series I am with the idea of cellular structure, color, pattern, layers, and repetition with inspiration from architectural elements. The original elements were photographed and then remixed in Adobe Photoshop to create layers and variations on the original theme bringing deeper depth and complexity to the original abstraction.
Artist, designer, and fine art photographer, Edward M. Fielding is based in the Upper Valley region of the Connecticut River Valley area of New England. When not in the field photographing the natural landscapes around the world, he is found in his studio creating abstract works inspired by his travels. Fielding's abstract work combines collected images, digital brush strokes, and layering techniques created through a playful process of experimentation.
Artist, designer, and fine art photographer, Edward M. Fielding works in the Upper Valley region of the Connecticut River Valley area of New Hampshire and Vermont. The rural country side provides inspiration to his landscapes of natural beauty and the simple life on family farms.
In his work you can often find old trucks, heirloom barns and workhorse vintage tractors as well as glimpses of coastal areas from Florida, California, Prince Edward Island and Maine. As a constant traveler, Fielding also brings us views from as far away as Montana where his in-laws live in Bozeman, the American Southwest, his birthplace — Hawaii, California and European photographs of Italy and France.
