Piece description from the artist
From 'Ring Road'
A semi-conscious road trip along the No 1 highway in Iceland. A drift-like journey with no particular destination. The initial point of departure coincides with the final point of arrival. A ring road. The stops along the road are taken to absorb the overwhelming natural phenomenon.
The act of photographing is almost involuntary. It is a necessary memory aid. It anchors the observer to the reality and prevents his disappearance into the ether. The photographs do not convey any particular narrative. Rather they serve as a framework for a story to be built upon viewers' experience and consciousness.
