Piece description from the artist
I raise one hand and sweep it wide, drawing a line in the air. It's not hard to find yourself in the moment. Even if I suspect that the thinning of the trajectory has already occurred, the act is not erased, and the mark remains. Perhaps this simplest and most direct act itself is the most appropriate demonstration of my living and being in this moment more than anything else. I believe that my sincerity is naturally expressed in the act of drawing lines that are the result of intuition and represent my inner world as it is. Through the experience of combining lines and having them repeated many times and accumulating, I become increasingly myself. Sometimes, I think that existence can be made clear in a more intuitive way than through verbal proof; that is, by trying to get closer to the essence, paradoxically, the meaning of existence can be clearly expressed when the sincerity of the moment is gathered without necessarily trying to reveal myself. And this can be said to be the sincerity that is realized at the moment, in its original place, before speaking. The experience of confronting myself while working naturally forces me to be mindful of not only my own moments but also those of others. My painting is completed by drawing lines on the canvas and gradually filling the screen. In my imagination, the lines on the screen continue to extend and connect even when they leave the screen. The expression of myself through this work is ultimately a respect for all other beings.
