This abstract painting was done with various glazing techniques. Textures were added with molding paste and a palette knife. Different shades of purple, green, blue, and turquoise were used to create the background colors and then used a paintbrush to loosely combine the colors. It gives a mottled and stormy effect to the painting.
Denise is an artist from Arvada, Colorado. She draws her inspiration for painting from nature and likes to paint landscapes. Since she is surrounded by the beauty of the mountains of Colorado, there is a lot of inspiration to draw upon. She also recently has begun branching out to abstract painting with acrylic paints and experimenting with various filters in digital graphics applications.
