My figurative paintings, many based on old family photographs offer a stylized impression of different periods and subjects. While tastes and fashions do change, the most basic of human needs, desires, and dreams are timeless, and this portrait strives to convey these eternal human yearnings and relationships. The painting hints at a story about these mature women but gives viewers room to use their imagination. Working from the lens of the camera I attempt to capture the moment allowing viewers to fill in their own insight.
Toni Silber-Delerive, a Manhattan-based artist and graphic designer, has been making art all her life. She always wanted to be an artist. Art is her passion. Toni's work is featured in private and corporate collections and has been in many solo and group exhibitions.
