Piece description from the artist
Aurora is an abstract painting of the Northern Lights, Aurora Borealis. The lights are visible in northern latitudes and are caused by solar wind and charged particles.
I lived in Chicago and travelled the Great Lakes areas for several years, but never saw the northern lights, although they are visible from the northern burbs of Chicago. Guess I will have to watch it on TV!
Colors are orange red, gold, white, cream over a dark underpainting.
