Modern apartment buildings and offices by the Colorado River in cityscape skyline of Austin Texas across Palmer Lake in December. The presence of the crane in the image shows what is always happening in this city – new buildings adding their own distinctive styles to the city skyline. This view from the Town Park benefits from the reflections in the small Palmer Lake and the flags add to the vibrancy.
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course, luck plays a part, but without that patience of being in the right place at the right time, it just becomes a snapshot.
