Hiking to crest the big dune at Cape Kiwanda, overlooking the magnetic presence of Kiawanda Rock on a November afternoon.
One of an ongoing series of paintings based on visits to the Oregon Coast and other shorelines. Piecing together color fields to reveal a harmonious composition and bold, dramatic scene is the keystone of my painting.
Jude's work focuses on piecing shapes and color together with patterns and bold forms to create representational pieces with. Nature and the relationship of figures in landscapes play a big role in the subject of his work.
Jude works with acrylic paint on canvas and wood panels.
