Piece description from the artist
This painting is the second one of two paintings inspired by my many long walks down Lake Avenue to the park near my home in Florida. The sidewalk was pending repair for many weeks and I had to walk around these barricades dozens of times. I enjoyed the bright reddish-orange and white bands of color on the barricades against the bright green grass of all the front yards so much I wanted to communicate about it in a painting. I was also inspired and excited by the sharp dramatic angles of the side walks intersecting each other.
