Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. One of the original prints made is currently owned by NBC and is one the sets of the hit TV show Chicago fire in the living room of Lieutenant Matt Casey. I love the Cubs, and I love Dick Wolf shows like Law and Order, so this pice kind of has a piece of my soul.
Matthew Gauger was born in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Growing up, Mathew spent his time between living in the city and the suburbs, which gave him a unique double-sided perspective to both ways of life, from the rough and gritty sides of urban living, to the clean and orderly ways of suburban living. It gave him perspective on the big picture of life, that no one life is different from any other, just the way we decorate them. His work strives to capture moments in time which are true to our time, and are in turn, timeless.
