Dale O’Dell lives in Prescott, Arizona, with his wife and a hyperactive Chihuahua. After graduating with a degree in Photography from Texas’ Sam Houston State University in 1982 Dale began implementing his plan for global photographic domination by getting fired from a number of corporate jobs, creating the world’s first wholly computer-generated image ever published in advertising, and teaching. By 1986 he had opened his own studio and produced photographic imagery for editorial, corporate and advertising clients.
He has exhibited in over one-hundred group and solo exhibitions and his commercial works are published internationally. Dale has written for most of the well-known photographic journals and magazines. Since 1997 he has published sixteen photography and digital art books.
Dale’s influences are as diverse as his imagery. Science fiction, fantasy, new age, classical surrealism, abstract-expressionism, portraiture and documentary photography are motivators as well as classical and modern literature, cinema, progressive rock music and quantum physics. All of this is somehow distilled and appears in his photographs and photo-digital artworks.
