Kyle is a graduate of The School of the Museum of Fine Arts [BFA in Photographic Processes, 2009]. For three years following graduation, he honed and refined his skills as a photographer and production manager of a commercial and biomedical photo studio on Beacon Hill in Boston.
In 2013, Kyle opened his own photography business for commercial and corporate events, local and destination weddings, professional and social portraits, wildlife, and landscapes. In Spring 2014, Kyle embarked on a two-month photographic expedition in Sub-Saharan Africa funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign called ‘The Warm Heart of Africa.” In this setting he captured intriguing, close-up photographs of wildlife and endangered species. Kyle authored the book “The Warm Heart of Africa” [Blurb, March, 2015] which portrays the stories and photographs of this expedition. Kyle also coauthored a recently published book with Laurie Klein: “Infrared Photography, Artistic Techniques for Brilliant Images”[Amherst Media, January 2016]. In this book, Kyle and Laurie provide scientific insights and artistic applications that enable photographers to branch into a new genre of creative capture. Kyle and Laurie teach photography nationally and internationally that focus on developing an artists individual creative process.As the photographer for the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Kyle captures events and busy tourism scenes to enhance Boston’s visual appeal to tourists planning a visit to Boston. Kyle is also a consultant for studio owners, and teaches photography, workflow, and Photoshop skills. He mentors both beginning and professional photographers.
