Piece description from the artist
Whimsical and cheerful meant to let the viewer tell their own story. We think of counting sheep as calming and an exercise to help us rest and sleep. The story can also be about four sheep just wandering and being happy together in the landscape. The colors I used were fun, one sheep is in tones of blue and a few brushstrokes in brighter colors were used to add a bit of fluff and movement to each. The painting measures 30 × 40 painted in oils on canvas.
