Piece description from the artist
"Crop Dusters" is a metaphor for the artist's duties to color and expansion of the human experience.
Mari Silipo spent her early childhood living by the sea, later moved to the cornfields of Western Massachusetts, and, after a brief pit-stop in Venice, Italy now resides in Boston, MA. This body of work captures Mari’s always whimsical, often melancholy eye; mediations on our sky, her pieces force their viewer to keep their eye out for the unexpected.
