This painting was inspired by a Native American legend, the fable of the animals. The fable describes how coyotes became more cunning than all animals of the wood, and how their relationship with man was established.
Ashley Freeland is an illustrator, painter, and graphic designer living in Boston, Massachusetts. She was inspired to paint by her grandfather, who himself was a painter. Her work has appeared in Boston's "The Weekly Dig" newspaper, Abstraks magazine, and has been exhibited in several shows throughout the Boston area. She is inspired by cats, humor, and food.
