This piece is about the cycle of violence we inflict upon ourselves through war over and over again as a failure in following the Way of the Lord. Hate and judgement lead to the loss of lives while so much money is spent on funding war efforts.
Bay Area artist Jaime Longa's work has examined many subjects throughout the years ranging from narrative trompe l'oeil still life paintings, urban landscapes, and contemporary portraiture. His work is notable for covering topics such as cultural identity, history, and spirituality. Much of Longa's current pieces deal with the experiences and struggles of the Basque people and diaspora. He received his BFA annd MFA in Painting from Academy of Art University and continues to be based in San Francisco. Longa's work can be found in numerous collections and have garnered praise from publications as Southwest Art and The Artist's Magazine.
