McDonald Creek runs through the rock formations, splashing through the waterfalls during the late Spring in Glacier National Park. Each year when the weather begins to warm up, the amazing fresh water from the snow melt begins to fill the rivers to their brim with rushing water. The power of these rivers at their peak flow in the Spring is a true force of nature to behold. Glacier is one of the most wild and natural places I've photographed, and the water in this park is a gorgeous gem-colored blue.
Annie was born and raised in Montana, growing up on her family's ranch in the beautiful Smith River Valley. Growing up in Montana's wild and beautiful Landscape led to her deep love of nature and all things rural. Annie attended the Art Institute of Colorado and lived in Denver Colorado until the completion of her Interior Design degree in 2002. After working in that field for several years, Annie moved back to Montana and began her own business, focusing on her ever-growing love of photography. She began traveling the backroads and wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain region and selling her photos professionally in galleries, shops, and online. She primarily searches for rural Landscapes, old barns, abandoned farmhouses, and occasionally wildlife she encounters. Her work as been featured in HGTV, Better Homes and Gardens, and featured in three books on emerging artists of the United States. She currently lives in Billings, Montana, and takes several trips during the year to gather new images.
