Originally painted in watercolor on cold pressed paper the soft muzzle of a horse. The muzzle of a horse with its soft breath and tender nudges captures in blackened sepia watercolors.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
