The dark night of the soul is a journey into light, a journey from your darkness into the strength and hidden resources of your soul.
This piece came about during emotional journey through self-discovery and reflection. I utilize my emotional pain into intuitive paintings and drawings to bring out what I am feeling at a given moment. Abstract work helps me portray my feelings and emotions in different ways. This piece shows the darkness within all of us and that no matter what there is always that spark of light that can be ignited from within our deepest core.
Nancy is a Lebanese-born, self-taught artist with a passion for intuitive expressionism. After a 15-year long career as a computer programmer, she decided to quit her job and pursue her love for artistic creativity. Soon after, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery and reflection, and that's when the inspiration of creating art came to be. She draws inspiration from nature,spirituality, as well as her thoughts, feelings, and emotions. She absolutely loves to experiment and delve into both abstract and geometrical designs, which are reflected in her paintings and drawings respectively. She is passionate about creating art that speaks to both herself and to others, and that can be perceived and deciphered in may ways. Different mediums allow her to express different ideas and concepts. Her style is very intuitive, eclectic, emotional, and playful.
