Piece description from the artist
This is my very first street photography piece. Not perfect technically in any way. Yet, perfect for me in story. The father and daughter were moving quickly while both obviously thinking different things. Her shirt really explains the image better than I can. Again, I am just the messenger here. This is from my New York City series.
A.D. Wheeler is a self-taught photographer who loves to push boundaries with his camera and his post-processing techniques. Andrew focuses primarily on landscape and what he coins, “abandonscape,” fine art photography. His term, “Abandonscape,” refers to the art of photographing abandoned buildings and sites of ruin and decay.
In 2012 Andrew's photo "Spinning Fire" won in the settings category for the Ron Howard and Canon Imaging's Project Imaginat10n. Andrew was also featured as a "Rising Star" on National PBS that syndicated across the US.
During the fair weather month's Andrew tours up and down the east coast with his multi-award winning "Abandonscape" prints on metal at various art shows and festivals.
