Days End At Traverse City

Piece description from the artist

What a beautiful way to end the day with this glorious sunset from Traverse City in Michigan, United States. This is part of Lake Michigan which is one of the Great Lakes. Traverse City is the largest city in northern Michigan with a population of approx 143,000 in the metropolitan area. It's a popular vacation destination. It's been named as the 2nd best small town destination in the US. Traverse City was called "wequetong" meaning "at the head of the bay". This area was an Indian camp near what is now Clinch Park in downtown Traverse City. Over time, this camp was slowly abandoned.
