Piece description from the artist
Delancey St Station in the Lower East Side, Manhattan, NYC.
I thought I’d capture a stereotypical dirty subway station entrance in NYC. The bottle of ice tea left in the middle is a good touch…look closer, and maybe you will find the graffiti that says “Pasta!” This is a reminder of why I love New York!
Yoshiko Mori was born in a family of forests in Tokyo Japan.
She has been taking photographs as long as she can remember. Her first formal training was in college, with Black and White Photography courses supplementing her Political Science degree. She has taken classes at ICP while here in NYC. She has exhibited several times with PLG arts, a community arts organization in her neighborhood.
She lives adjacent Prospect Park in Brooklyn NY, where she trains for marathons, walks her dog and dreams.
