Down to the Cabin

Piece description from the artist

This tiny cabin was made by hand with lumber harvested from the surrounding forest. Once used as a schoolhouse, it is now abandoned in the dense woods of the South Dakota hills. I waited for the sky to become colorful as the sun was setting, and I was able to capture the warm tones of the setting sun, casting a few last rays of light onto the cabin before darkness settled in. This old cabin's worn and weathered wood shows its age, but I love capturing the authentic rustic details that only come with the natural passing of time.
