About Andrew Hare

Seattle, WA

Andrew Hare is a realist painter specializing in Architectural subjects. With a detailed focus on urban surroundings, Andrew Hare's paintings seek to capture the play of light, shadow and reflections on buildings, doorways, windows and unexpected objects. His vision combines real and imagined elements to create images of unforseen beauty in ordinary environments. Known for his large oil and acrylic on canvas paintings, Hare's work can be found in private collections across the U.S. and Europe.

In 1999, after 25 long years in the textile and apparel design business in Los Angeles and Seattle, Andrew left the 9-to-5 world behind and started painting for a living. In his spare time he composes music and enjoys the alternate reality of performing as a studio and live musician with several Northwest bands.
