The painting shows the Catalan (Spanish) city of Empuriabrava. This town is known for its canals and a large resort area. Empuriabrava is divided into many small districts. One of them is depicted on the canvas. Almost all houses have access to water. Many have private moorings. This place has its own special flavor and spirit. This work is filled with bright colors and has an extremely positive message. Oil, canvas. Varnished. Signed.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
