Piece description from the artist
Photograph of a building facade accentuating shadow, light or a unique moment.
Mounted on a 1" deep wood panel and finished with a medium gloss shellac.
Upon graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2001 with a degree in Photography, Rob Larson launched his career working as an intern in a photography studio. While doing so, he began to fully appreciate the use of photography as an art form, and thus began to move more towards fine art, shifting away from the commercial background he received in school. Still working in the field of commercial photography, he has branched out into other forms of art, photography and design, including silkscreen printing and experimenting with mixed-medias. Heavy use of lines, shape and repetition are the mainstays in many of the pieces that Rob produces.
