The storm was about to hit when I noticed these birds feeding high up on a raised bird feeder. The clouds added drama and a hint that rain would soon be here, but these birds didn't seem to mind as they were fully focused on having a full meal. I was drawn to the geometric composition of the telephone lines and the square wooden feeder. The birds added an interesting element to this image.
Christina Angarola Hsu is a Southern California native who comes from multiple generations of artists. She received her first camera at the age of 12; from then until now, photography has been not only a means of expression but a means of exploration, a gateway into new worlds and ways of thinking. Though she began her career as a commercial photographer in Los Angeles, Christina now exclusively concentrates on her fine art, finding poetic moments in daily life and in nature. Her subject matter often dictates the process she chooses—from traditional film, digital, vintage and lensless cameras to handmade limited edition photo books. Christina’s work has been collected and exhibited throughout the United States and abroad.
