EPHEMERAL COLOR MARKS INSPIRED BY NATURE
"Field Notes" captures fleeting impressions of a natural landscape through vibrant, gestural marks. The soft interplay of lemon yellow, sky blue, and bright green against raw canvas evokes the feeling of sunlight flickering through grass, wind-blown petals, or shifting shadows. With delicate, transient strokes and spontaneous movement, this minimalist abstract composition presents a visual journal of nature’s subtleties—quiet observations that feel both immediate and impermanent.
Evgenia Makarova was born in 1984 and began her artistic journey after completing a degree in Graphic Design in 2008. She transitioned to a full-time artist in 2020 and currently lives and creates her art in Aylesbury, United Kingdom.
Evgenia's primary artistic emphasis lies in abstraction. Her creative method is profoundly grounded in spontaneity, intuition, and improvisation. She strives to seize emotions in the instant of artistic inception, articulating them through color, form, and texture on the canvas. In her works, the creative process assumes a central role as she engages in experimentation with a diverse range of materials and tools.
