Flamboyant Mayhem is a celebration of the psychedelic rock posters of the late 1960s and 1970s. I threw in all the bright colors I could find, creating a painting that just borders on mayhem. Are you bold and brave enough to hang this artwork in your home?
Colorado artist Kathy Ferguson paints colorful abstract landscapes that are richly layered, botanically inspired reactions to her experiences with nature. Using combinations of geometric and organic shapes, she creates imaginary worlds using paint, collage paper, and ink. Her colors are often bold and saturated alluding to environments more illusionary than authentic, places more commonly found in dreams than in reality.
Her work is held in many collections including the Plaza Hotel in New York, the Four Seasons Hotel in Houston, and the Belmond Grand Hotel Europe in St. Petersburg, Russia.
