In this piece I wanted a lot of breathing space between the geometric marks to have the eye feel the balance of form the colors are reflective of the earth and have subtle weight.
Don’s work is a crossover between pure abstraction and references to the natural world. Color and texture are key elements in his work. His effort is to play with chaos and create balance through layers of transparent color and hue.
