The largest urban bat colony in North America lives under Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge. During "bat season", traditionally from March to October, they appear like dark undulating clouds across the sky. They are one of my favorite subjects to shoot in Austin, both from the ground and with the drone. This drone shot captures a stream of bats leaving the bridge with bat views watching from the bridge and the water below.
Christopher Sherman is traveler, photographer and artist who doubles as a business owner and entrepreneur. After 20 years as business owner and entrepreneur in a variety of technology industries he turned his passion to photography.
