Zooming past the iconic, magnificent Mt Fuji, Fuji-san, on the Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto on a Spring morning and I envisioned the most beautiful giant sakura, cherry blossom, blooming above the horizon.
One of a series of paintings created based on a trip to Kyoto and Tokyo, Japan. By piecing together fields of color, I strive to create a vibrant and dramatic scene.
Jude's work focuses on piecing shapes and color together with patterns and bold forms to create representational pieces with. Nature and the relationship of figures in landscapes play a big role in the subject of his work.
Jude works with acrylic paint on canvas and wood panels.
