A heavy marine fog rolled into St. Augustine last January and created an eerie setting along the Matanzas River and the historic waterfront. Several sailboats moored for the evening in the harbor appear like shadows in the fog and mist. I wanted to create a sense of isolation as well as a calmness against the quiet of the moment.
Steve Brooks' is an award-winning landscape and nature photographer whose work demonstrates a true passion for capturing Florida's nature and landscape photography. Steve enjoys shooting the honest beauty of the coast, the beaches and the inland marsh areas that surround him.
