Going Places

Piece description from the artist

"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."
—T.S. Eliot

This is how I see my son quite often these days – running to and fro, exploring everything he sees. Pushing limits is built in to the DNA of a toddler. Now sometimes that can be a challenge, but it is certainly an absolute joy to watch him go. And I'll do my best to not slow him down too much on his daily forays into the unknown.

I took this shot on the roof top deck of the Milwaukee County War Memorial / Milwaukee Art Museum building along the lake in Milwaukee. Image courtesy of the best camera I had with me – my Droid Turbo cell phone.

Day 295 of my 365 photo a day project.

About Scott Norris

Milwaukee, WI

motion. Mood. Atmosphere. These are the heartbeats of my photography. From sweeping landscapes to intricate still life and captivating macros, my work is a journey – one that reveals my triumphs, struggles, beliefs, and the essence of who I am.

I'm all about spontaneity. I don't stage what I shoot; I let the world around me guide the lens. What catches my eye becomes the canvas for my story.

But the magic doesn't end when I click the shutter. That's just the beginning. I dive deeper, transforming raw images into visual tales. I add textures, enhance contrasts, and sculpt the light and shadows to evoke the emotions I felt in that very moment. It's a process of alchemy, where my heart and mind collaborate to bring my vision to life.
