Piece description from the artist
The irony of saying goodnight to the city that never sleeps. The iconic Pepsi-Cola sign, located on the Queens waterfront, has been around since 1936 when the Pepsi bottling plant opened in Gantry Plaza State Park. Even though the plant closed in 1999, this famed landmark continues to embody the liveliness and pop culture ties New York has become known for.
