Horicon Overlook

Piece description from the artist

Camping with the family at Ledge Park near Horicon, WI. Our campsite and the region experienced quite a bit of rain during the afternoon. Gave me an opportunity for a nap, my son more rubic cube solving time, and some reading time for the rest. Eventually, the rain stopped and the skies started to open up after dinner to this spectacular view. I really loved seeing the evaporation of the recent rainstorm created by the setting sun. This panoramic composition is 10 images stitched together.

About Andrew Slater

Waukesha, WI

Father. Husband. Engineer. Photography.

Yep in that order. I love photography, but I also love being a father of three, a husband, and a professional engineer.

I work in downtown Milwaukee, WI, and live in Waukesha, WI. However, I will capture anywhere between and then some.

My inspiration is being able to get outside and enjoy the environment. Life moves fast, photography helps me freeze it, at least for a little while. Primarily, I like to capture landscapes and architecture. As a father of three little kids, I also get to capture as my families grows.
