Iconic East Village Building

Piece description from the artist

With this piece I always say, "If you know, you know"!

If you live in the East Village in Manhattan or are familiar with the East Village, then you definitely know this colorful, iconic, and eclectic building on the corner of 4th Street and Avenue B. I used to live a block away from this building and I would walk by it a few times a week on the way to the post office to drop off art sales. I always thought it was the funniest and coolest building because it felt so out of place, but at the same time so perfectly in place because that's what NYC is all about. There is no norm there, you can be whatever you want to be, dress however you want to dress, and I felt like this building perfectly captured that. In NYC, sticking out is like the new blending in.
