Piece description from the artist
Isn't this just adorable! So sweet and innocent. I captured this cute little gooseling running towards what I'm guessing is its dad. The other adult goose was with the other babies so I'm assuming that was the mom. In case you're wondering this gooseling is a baby Canada Goose, also called the Canadian Goose. They are part of the large wild goose species. When the grow up, they have a black head and neck, white along their cheeks and under their chin and along the bottom of their backside, and a brown body. They are hebivorous and are found on or close to fresh water. Once they find their mate, they stay together for life. If one dies, the surviving goose may find a new partner. I captured this in Ozark Missouri.
