Piece description from the artist
I have always loved the inner workings of clocks and other mechanical things. I started out painting a few wheels and gears and found out that the more I added the more I liked the outcome. I hope clients will keep looking and studying to find more interesting impressions. The addition of the clock hands forces one to move their eyes around the piece in a clockwise motion.
I was born in Norway and at an early age, our family emigrated to Canada.
My life has seen me both living in Norway and finally on the West Coast of Canada.
After decades of high-pressure careers, it was time to return to what I wanted to live for. That was painting, sketching and photography. I am mostly self-taught and have been producing art in one way or another for as long as I can remember.
My interest in painting has taken me on a journey over the years depicting injustice against humanity, the surreal and now more abstract concepts. I plan to keep painting and creating for as long as possible.
Painting stops time and lets me wonder into concepts and ideas with enthusiasm.
