Irezumi is the Japanese word for tattoo, and is used in English to refer to a distinctive style of Japanese tattooing.
The painting depicts a tattooed Japanese man of the late 19th century. Oil, canvas. Varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
