An abstract photograph of koi fish. The photograph was created using intentional camera movement with about 18 individual exposures. This technique brings out a hidden quality in the subject matter that really could not be produced with traditional single-shot photography. There is an ethereal, dreamy beauty, as well as, dynamic motion that imbues the image in a most unique way.

Joseph is a self-taught photographer living in San Diego, California. Joseph wants to approach his photography from a place of simplicity and avoid making this enjoyable and creative process overburdened from a technical standpoint. He still continues working to improve his craft all the while though. His photographs are presented in a straightforward way and engage the creative process to produce photographs of familiar subjects in an impressionistic and abstract manner. His simple hope is that his photographic work promotes an interest in art and that it expresses joy and beauty.
