Piece description from the artist
Footprints of Romanticism:
He’s considered to be one of the greatest poets in Romanticism and the poet of the Lake District. Here he found his inspiration, among glassy lakes and England’s highest mountains. Those who visit the Lake District will inevitably encounter his name: William Wordsworth. And those who ‘visit’ William Wordsworth will inevitably encounter the beauty of the Lake District.
On the banks of Ullswater, Wordsworth gained the inspiration for his famous poem ‘I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud’, better known as ‘The Golden Daffodils’, the ode to the golden Narcissus he saw dancing to the rhythm of a gentle breeze. A veritable ode to spring. In high school, I read his work and became fascinated by Romanticism.
The viewpoint from which I took this photo was named after Wordsworth. Unfortunately, there were not any daffodils, but the light and the meandering landscape were my own sources of inspiration. 200 years later and I enjoyed the same scenery as he did at one of the most beautiful views over the Lake District.

To photograph the best locations and light Peters enjoys walking for miles, climbing mountains, enduring extreme cold and waiting for hours for the right conditions. His dedication reflects in his images. In 2019 Peters published 'The Story of my Light', a book with the stories behind his best photos.
