This painting captures the serene beauty of Empuriabrava (Spain), a coastal town famed for its picturesque landscapes. In the foreground, lush lavender and curry plants bloom, their colors contrasting with the sandy beach. A single tree sways gently in the breeze. Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
