Abstract painting of a glacial kame landscape. I saw these in Illinois which is a landscape shaped by glaciers. A kame is a large hill of gravel that is usually surrounded by wetlands.
Cynthia Fletcher is a painter, working in oil, acrylic, and digital media. Her style is abstract with jewel-tone color, texture, layering, and symbolism. Nature is her chief inspiration, and her work focuses on experiences there, using abstraction to go beyond form to capture and communicate light, color, and sensation.
Fletcher is also a Landscape Architect who has lived and worked in a variety of environments from Chicago to the rainforest of Panama. Her lakeside studio is located in Oklahoma City.
