The start of a new day and year as the sun rises over the St. Johns County Florida fishing pier, located on St. Augustine Beach. The concrete and wood structure has withstood a constant battering from hurricanes, nor'easters and beach erosion for many years. This shot was captured about 10 minutes after the sun broke over the horizon.
